Puppy Foundations

Early Support for New Puppies & Their Families

1 hCustomer's Place

Service Description

Age guide: Best suited to puppies from around 8 to 14 weeks of age, during their first weeks settling into a new home. This programme is designed for puppies in the early settling-in stage. The focus is on routines, prevention, confidence building, and helping owners understand normal puppy behaviour, rather than formal training skills. I will also introduce you to games designed so that your puppy gets used to being handled, which is essential for your puppy being happy with such experiences as having a harness put on, being picked up and vet visits. For puppies older than 14 weeks who are beginning to develop challenging behaviours, the more structured training programme the Teenage Tune-Up is recommended. If you would like to continue your puppy's training and development after Puppy Foundations, you can also do this by choosing Ongoing Support Sessions. Included in the program: * A comprehensive bespoke plan for your puppy * A summary of the training sessions and homework * Travel to your home (Bundaberg area) * Treats * Follow up support for 6 weeks (To make a booking: First buy the plan/package. Then you can book a time using your plan "use plan/package at booking")

Cancellation Policy

At Working Wonders Dog Training, I value your time and commitment — just as I value mine. Consistency is key to your dog’s progress, and clear communication helps us make the most of every session together. Cancellations and Rescheduling • If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please send a text message to 0418 279 009 as soon as possible. • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations. • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee. Inclement Weather • If a session needs to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions, there will be no charge. • I’ll contact you if the weather is unsuitable for training and arrange a rescheduled time. Arriving on Time • Please aim to arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly. • Sessions will finish at the scheduled time even if you arrive late, as other clients may be booked immediately afterwards. Health and Safety • Please let me know if your dog or anyone in your household is unwell or has a contagious condition (canine or human!). • Safety for both people and dogs is my top priority — if conditions are unsafe to proceed, I reserve the right to end a session early or reschedule. Consistency and Progress • Training works best with regular attendance and ongoing practice between sessions. • I’ll provide written notes or homework sheets so you can continue working on your dog’s skills at home.
