Service Description

1:1 Scent Work Sessions that are especially helpful for dogs who may be: nervous or anxious or have lots of spare energy or are reactive and over-aroused or lack mobility through age or disability and designed for owners who want a fun and engaging activity to share with their dog - you can even teach your dog to find your keys/phone/wallet! For dogs who may fit into any of the categories above, Scent Work games will benefit your dog by stimulating them mentally and increasing their confidence as they harness their natural talents to find a scented article that I provide. At the end of the session your dog will feel more relaxed and focused. As all dogs are different, the sessions are designed so that your dog works at their own pace. Sessions are based on my experience as a qualified Detection Dog Handler and Trainer, but totally for pet dogs and owners that would greatly benefit from learning something a little different and a little bit clever! If you would rather train in a different environment, rather than at home, you are most welcome to come to my training venue in Sharon, with full use of specialist equipment.

Cancellation Policy

At Working Wonders Dog Training, I value your time and commitment — just as I value mine. Consistency is key to your dog’s progress, and clear communication helps us make the most of every session together. Cancellations and Rescheduling • If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please send a text message to 0418 279 009 as soon as possible. • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations. • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee. Inclement Weather • If a session needs to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions, there will be no charge. • I’ll contact you if the weather is unsuitable for training and arrange a rescheduled time. Arriving on Time • Please aim to arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly. • Sessions will finish at the scheduled time even if you arrive late, as other clients may be booked immediately afterwards. Health and Safety • Please let me know if your dog or anyone in your household is unwell or has a contagious condition (canine or human!). • Safety for both people and dogs is my top priority — if conditions are unsafe to proceed, I reserve the right to end a session early or reschedule. Consistency and Progress • Training works best with regular attendance and ongoing practice between sessions. • I’ll provide written notes or homework sheets so you can continue working on your dog’s skills at home.
